Intrinsic Performance Solutions (IPS), the provider of cams and valvetrain for Project Si, is seeking another 2006+ Si in the Los Angeles area for performance part development.
IPS needs a car with an Injen intake and no other power modifications. The plan is to install IPS K2 cams and valvetrain and then develop a custom race header and exhaust along with a specialized Hondata reflash that will be available to IPS customers.
IPS founder Ron Acevedo told us that he wasn't satisfied with existing headers and exhausts available for the Si. Compared to RSX-S' and other K-series engine swaps, modified Si's are not yet putting down the power they should and Acevedo believes the problem is in the headers on the market (we agree).
If your vehicle is selected, IPS will need your car for approximately one month. In return, you will receive, free of charge, K2 cams, valve springs, retainers, custom race header (not likely to be emissions legal), custom exhaust and a custom Hondata reflash.
Do not call IPS directly. Post here in this news item and we will forward the contact information of interested parties to IPS.
