Just over one month since the 2023 Integra hit dealerships, Hondata has released a compatible FlashPro allowing owners to reflash their ECU to unlock some extra performance.
We knew Hondata would make quick work of it, as the 6MT Integra basically cops its entire powertrain from the 2022 Honda Civic Si. Remember, however, that the Integra also offers a CVT, so there was maybe a bit more work involved there. The results are interesting - for whatever reason the 6MT Integra that they tested put down even more impressive baseline torque and hp numbers than the 2022 Civic Si, but following the tune they landed in roughly the same place, though the Si actually put up slightly bigger tuned numbers. In any case, there is a considerable amount of torque available to be unlocked by tuning, but as is the case with the 2022 Civic Si, the stock clutch can't handle as much as the engine can put out on a full tune, so Hondata's base calibrations for the Integra are tuned to a torque range that's considered to be relatively safe on the stock clutch. If you want to feel the full potential of this little motor, you should make room in your budget for an upgraded clutch.
In other Hondata news, the MSRP of the FlashPros has recently been increased by $100 (to $795 for the race version, and $595 for the CARB-pending version) due to rising costs of materials and the devastating chip shortages the entire industry has been experiencing.
