Honda Japan has just published this teaser image of the upcoming replacement for the Vezel (which is currently known as the HR-V in the USA), promising more photos to come on February 18.
Perhaps the most interesting part of this news is that American Honda pre-empted it with a statement announcing that the next generation HR-V to be sold in the US will be different from the European and Japanese Vezel/HR-V.
The official statement from American Honda follows:
Statement from American Honda:
The development of a successor to the Honda HR-V for the U.S. market is underway. This new HR-V will be designed to meet the distinct needs of U.S. customers, and will differ from the Honda Vezel/HR-V that will be introduced in other regions. Honda will have more information to share regarding the next-generation Honda HR-V designed for the U.S. market closer to launch. |
