This seems like the best place to put this, at least for me to refer to since this question seems to come up often.

PBR/Axxis Ultimate brake pads for the '06+ Civic Si, RSX Type-S, and S2000. The part numbers and links to resources with the best prices I've been able to find:

Front Pads:
P/N: 45-08290U (Old: 109.08290)
BuyBrakes - $69.22 + shipping
R1 Concepts - $55.53 + shipping
Amazon via BuyBrakes - $57.27 + shipping
Google Shopper search

Rear Pads:
P/N: 45-05370U (Old: 109.05370)
Import Replacement Parts - $37.99 + shipping
Google Shopper search

Enjoy,
Ryan

Updated with new lower price & supplier for the front pads. Rear pads are still as low as I've been able to find.

Just ordered front pads (Axxis Ultimate) and rotors from R1 Concepts, and wanted to let everyone know it was a really good experience. I first tried going in through their brake parts section as linked above, but the pads didn't show up either with a search or going to Honda Brake Parts (where the year selection stops at 2005). They have a live chat (nice touch!), so I used it and got assistance immediately. Turns out they do have the parts, but something didn't let it show up the way I tried to find it. I was quoted $49 for the pads.

As I kept playing around with navigation while he checked on shipping cost for me, I found that you can get to the pads if you navigate a different way; some paths work and some dead end. From the R1 Concepts home page, click "Brake Pads" under "Products" in the left column, then enter vehicle info at the bottom of the center column that lists the various pads. That way works.

Ryan, maybe you should change the link to point to the brake pads section or directly to the Si Axxis Ultimate front pads.

Anyway, their listed price for the Axxis Ultimate front pads was $71.05. Since i found the item and price while waiting for him to come back with shipping cost (which by the way was $9, for a total of $58), when he returned I told him I had found the part on the site but that the price said $71.05, and asked him to verify, thinking he might have misquoted or gotten the wrong part. He said the price he quoted was my "referral" price. ???

Well, I had started the chat by informing him that Ryan at vtec.net was listing R1 as the best place to get these brake parts (or words to that effect), yet the parts weren't showing up on the website. So referencing your affiliation with vtec apparently nets a 30% discount on the pads. Discount for the rotors was less (~11.5%), but still seemed reasonable to me. That price came in at $156 for a pair of double cross-drilled and slotted rotors (down from a listed price of $176), and just $5 additional shipping above the $9 already quoted for the pads. So the grand total was $219.

Best price I saw elsewhere for the pads was ~$90 before shipping. I didn't look around for rotors; that was something I had in the back of my mind, then became kind of an impulse buy when I saw how low all the prices were.

If one assumes the same 30% discount for rear pads (I didn't ask so don't know, but I have now and am waiting for a response), at a listed price of $43.90 their price could well be lowest for that item also. And even with no discount, they're pretty darn close to what Ryan has listed for Import Replacement Parts.

Hope this information helps some of you out there. And don't forget to get your discount by mentioning vtec.net if you order!

That was quick! Just got a phone call back, and yep... same discount. I hope I'm not telling you this in vain and they did this just because they like me. ;)

So at $30.73, I think we've got a new preferred supplier for the rears also. They even added it to my earlier order and charged no additional shipping! Assuming I get the parts, this is the kind of vendor I really love to spread the word about. We all need to patronize the good ones and keep them in business.

Will post again when I get the parts so we can gauge delivery time.

Yes! I just placed my order with R1 Concepts. I spoke to a dude named Sam, and he was really cool. I told him about this thread on vtec.net and read him some of what fleadhfan had posted(about his experience with R1). He sold me the Axxis ULTimates for-

F= $49
R= $30.... WOW! The best price by far that I've ever seen, thanks to vtec.net. I also bought some G2 caliper paint for $27 and they charged me $9 for shipping, for a grand total of $115. Sam told me that they weren't making much money at all on my order, but they realize the importance of building a strong and loyal customer base. Of course, they can't give out these types of deals all the time and on every item, but I got the impression that they like to reward their customers, when they're in a position to do so. I encourage anyone who needs parts, to give R1 Concepts a try and mention vtec.net!!! Thanks TOV.

I've done some business with R1 concepts in the past and had a great experience. I also ordered the slotted/cross drilled rotors for my 04 TSX. Great rotors and great price. I didn't order the pads so can't comment on them. But overall great price, service and products!

Has anyone from Canada ordered from R1 Concepts? If so, what were the shipping and duty costs like?
