Digital Audio Adapter for Ridgeline Radio    (Score: 1, Normal) 04-18-2005 15:48

My 2006 Ridgeline RTL was just delivered last week and I just had an XM Roady installed at River Oaks Car Stereo in Houston (www.installer.com). Just wanted to let everyone know the correct digital audio adapter that works with the Honda radio head unit (the RTL has the am/fm 6 cd changer xm radio ready model-no navigation)- the model number is HON03-PC-SON and they have it for $79.95. They actually have it on their lookup under "2005 Honda".

I couldn't figure out which one to buy to install it myself, so I decided to pay somebody to do it and just took my Ridgeline down to the place that stocked the largest variety of adapters in town. They tried a couple until they found the one that worked. They even figured out a way to install the little Roady2's antenna up in the cowling by the 3rd brake light on the back of the cab so it doesn't even show (no one can just look at the truck from a distance and see that there's an xm in it to steal.

Hope this helps because I couldn't find the Ridgeline referenced anywhere for which PIE or Blitz Digitial Audio Adapter to buy....

Thanks for the information, I was looking for the right adapter for the new XM DirectTuner. I found a "kit" from the dealer which is $368 - and was way too much for what you get. My question is, however, do you have to tune with the Roady, or can you use the XM button and the in dash tuner to select your XM stations?

Thanks.
