First, thanks for the review!

Regarding acceleration, I know your figures are informal. Nonetheless, it's interesting to see that you got 6.3s in the RDX, and 6.8s in the Q5.

C/D got 5.8s in their own testing for the Q5, so I'm eager to see what they can get with the RDX, if you managed that big of a difference.

Yes I was using a simple obd2 scan tool which has a performance screen on the app. I know that it is pretty reliable on Honda products as it connects to the ECU at he highest polling rate. From the seat of the pants, I thought the Q5 felt about the same as the RDX

If I heard correctly in some test drive videos posted on Youtube, it was stated that they were in Canada at an elevation of about 3000 ft above sea level. This would probably easily suck about 4-6/10ths of a second off the 0-60 MPH acceleration times. I wouldn't be surprised to see the RDX get to 60 in around 5.6-5.9 second range at or near sea level.

We can hope. When we dyno'd the autoshow example for the commercials (sound recording) it was down quite a bit of hp vs. the Accord 2.0T 10AT. Some of that could have been AWD, but the curve was not a happy curve. Seemed to be riding the edge of knock all the time, even when we put some higher octane in.

Hopefully this was just a pre-production issue, because this car should be in the mid-5's if everything is goldilocks.

2200ft above sea level is where they tested it.

This engine will cover 80-90% of the buyers of this SUV. Can't wait to see what kind of TTV6 Honda is going to whip up and put it in this SUV.
