Despite ( but maybe because of ... ) its polarizing styling, this car will go down as one of the truly great Honda's.
I only hope that another performance Honda or Acura gets to utilise this chassis and power train.

Man, I think this car looks cool as hell. Yep - it's somewhat overwrought, but that's the point! And all of that crap is added on at the factory, so I don't have to worry about a makeshift aftermarket setup!

Does this belong to anyone on TOV? I think this is the first one I saw on the road - saw this passing through ATL (about 3-5 miles from the airport) on Sunday, May 13th.

I was impressed enough to be super reckless and take pics while driving. :-(

The sound and its movement kinda gave a super car feeling.

You were in TLX??

Yeah - I was in a TLX.

The way he would punch it and switch lanes was pretty impressive. I'm not a performance car kind of guy, but it definitely made me want to strongly consider something like this!

I've seen 2 (Black and Red) in southwest Houston till now. In real life the design doesn't look outrageous. It stands out, in a good way. The sound and its movement kinda gave a super car feeling.

I was in a TLX.

I thought the way the guy driving the red car switched lanes and abruptly accelerated made the car look super sporty and capable. I remember marveling at how quickly he took the split on I75/I85 (he and I both continued on I-85 toward Alabama) which is a pretty aggressive turn going faster than 60MPH. I was doing 70MPH, and I remember he was pulling away from me. The car looked to corner almost perfectly flat.

the Type R performance envelope is quite impressive. It's difficult to fully exploit it on the street without risking a lot of points on your license. It's SOOO much fun at the track.

Just picked up the latest edition of Motor Magazine [Australia].

Earlier this year their CTR picked up the Performance Car of the Year gong [much to the chagrin of some of their readers], and now it's picked up their Bang For Your Buck gong as well.

I defy any enthusiasts to drive this joy of a car, and not come away impressed!

Hopefully their website [ whichcar.com.au/motor ] will have the full article up some time soon.
