Cool! It's kind of weird how 1-2 months literally often translates into "less than a week". Currently it says "only 2 left in stock" so they must only get a small handful in stock at a time.

Yeah! I wonder if maybe its because some people cancel their orders or return them, etc.

I'm considering these from Dream:

They look great! When I opened my hood after I bought the car I was like WTF!!!

Over on civicx, a lot of debate is going on about whether or not these block air from exiting the front fender vents causing higher temps in engine bay. I like how they clean up the engine area as well but wonder if thereís any validity in this argument. Some say they are missing in the US purely to keep costs down, others say to improve airflow. Wish I knew...

P.S. I finally created an account here after lurking for almost 18 years when I bought my first RSX. Picking up my CW CTR last Friday motivated me to finally do it! Glad to be here guys

18 years, wow! Welcome to the best forum.

I think the air argument could be valid, but harmless. Otherwise the UK wouldnít have them. I WANT to block the air in the fenders because a lot of grime makes its way to the doors.

Heat isn't an issue, here. I'm almost 100% sure these were deleted from US cars for cost reasons - under the impression that "no-one will notice". Personally, I'm not planning on putting them on my car but it's not because I think it's going to cause underhood heat issues. I just have other things to do with my "play" money.

Apart from that, welcome to TOV, flacobill! We're glad to have you and look forward to hearing more from you. Also, a HUGE congrats on your amazing acquisition as well!

Overall great car. Amazing, I'm very happy with the Civic aspects of my CTR.

We bought a '17 Touring Coupe right off the lease.. gave it to my daughter. We put about 14K miles on it.

The car is excellent inside. There are features in it that until no to long ago you had to spring for an Acura.

Even the CVT in the Touring is quite an acceptable transmission nowadays.

The LED lights are very good. My daughter swapped the fog lights to rather BMW like bright LEDs... At least she knows where she's going at night! ;-)

It's sort of sad that the Si lacks the features of the Touring and Type R.

I still prefer the two tier display though. I find that a single touchscreen is too busy, you keep swapping between the Navi and other displays. In the Civic, as usual, the immediacy of the touchscreen solves the double input format confusion in other Hondas.

Also, the iMID in the dash has grown from a gimmick to a useful display.

We had no issues with power because the two USB ports satisfy all of our needs. And my wife/daughter like the Android/iPhone integration, respectively. The Bluetooth also works really well, but this worked fine in the previous generation as well.

The upper trims of this Civic generation truly punch out of their niche. If we could get an Si with Touring trim options we would have one by now. As it is, we're waiting for the CTR to become available for lease.

There's a black and a silver CTR at work. Plus every so often a white one shows up. In our warm SoCal weather they are awesome looking. I love that wing!

'98 ITR. No radio, no rear wiper, very little insulation in the firewall, no AC! I don't even recall if it had power windows.

AHM didn't sell many.

'00 ITR. Radio, rear wiper, more sound insulation, AC, power doodahs.

AHM sold more of them.

The CTR gets the NAVI. Doesn't it also get the LED lights and better stereo? Who cares about the Nanny stuff.

Wait, the US Civic Coupe Touring gets a lot of stuff...

(1) It gets FCW, LDW, CMBS and RDMS.
(2) It gets LKAS and ACC with low speed follow
(3) Remote entry fob
(4) Remote start
(5) Heated side mirrors
(6) Rain sensing windshielf wipers
(7) Fog lights
(8) LED headlights with auto ON/OFF
(9) Power windows with auto UP/DOWN
(10) Leather wrapped steering wheel
(11) Leather seats
(12) Leather wrapped shift knob
(13) Auto dimming rearview mirror
(14) Heated front seats
(15) Apple Car Play and Android Auto
(16) NAVI
(17) XM Radio
(18) Bluetooth with text message interface (SMS)
(19) A programmable driver interface on the dash (with turn by turn directions)

https://automobiles.honda.com/civic-coupe?#

I dunno about you, but some of those features were only found in Acuras until not so long ago.

A "Touring Honda" is the Touring Trim. The Civic Touring trim gets all of those things your CTR is missing. OTOH, it lacks the 2.0T/LSD/6MT/suspension, etc.

Perhaps if AHM puts out an ILX-S, they may combine all of it together.

I suppose an Si with Touring stuff, minus the foofoo Honda Sensing stuff, might sell for $28K or so. That would be a nice enough ride for most people.

From my personal point of view, if less people buy the CTR because it lacks the nanny stuff ( remember the 98 vs 00 ITRs) the better for us. It means AHM will make them available.

Oh, ignore DCR and his thing about headlights.... I think a hockey puck hit him on the head yesterday and he's still seeing lights all around him.

Let's step back a second.

The CTR has a 300bhp 2.0T, 6MT, LSD, big brakes, a trick suspension, big wheels, big tires, NAVI, AC, power windows/doors/side mirrors, leather... the one useful thing that it seems to miss is the side mirror heaters.

Perhaps an ATTS setup instead of an LSD.

Hmm... I'd gladly trade most of my Coupe Cake's doodahs for that kind of "touring"...

The current CTR is a The Touring pf Type Rs. It's all relative.

I for one, am really glad they didn't include that crap. I rented a Mazda with lane watch and blind spot monitoring. Talk about annoying. Heated seats make my feel like I missed my pants. I do park in a garage, so maybe that is the difference. Either way, less crap equals less weight.

Hmm... I'd gladly trade most of my Coupe Cake's doodahs for that kind of "touring"...

The current CTR is a The Touring pf Type Rs. It's all relative.

God Tony, don't make me agree with you. Next you'll be convincing me about Magneplanar's, hey we still got Quad's over here (OK - personally, conventional box dynamic loudspeakers, but I'm not as rich and successful as you :-))

Garoto confuses me. The rage about the doo-dads is neither here nor there. Come on garato, drive the thing and tell us how it feels ! Who cares if you're diddled out of some extraneous aids - maybe a bit weird/slightly annoying you don't get it, but the core essence is the _car_. Don't like it - but a Porsche Cayman instead - bonus, you can option seat belts in silver instead of black for ~£200. Or buy something with all the bells-and-whistles that steers like a demented drunk warthog on acid. But at least you've got facebook from a touch screen.

Is the glove box lockable and does it drop down a rock when opened like it does on regular civic ?

The headlights.

It's got a radio, didn't the first ITR come without one?

'98 ITR. No radio, no rear wiper, very little insulation in the firewall, no AC! I don't even recall if it had power windows.

AHM didn't sell many.

'00 ITR. Radio, rear wiper, more sound insulation, AC, power doodahs.

AHM sold more of them.

Then add automatic option and then call it SiR. lol
