Jeff-To continue our chat from the other thread, have you learned anything new that you can share as it relates to the sports hybrid offerings in the RDX? Assuming the Acura Exclusive Platform (AEP) will be used for the RDX and the next gen MDX/RLX/TLX, should we assume that the RDX would offer a brand new sports hybrid powertrain compared to the one the MDX has now?

Probably as their top trim model, like all the other models in the lineup. Some form of mild hybrid system (48V) will likely appear in all other models since almost every other OEM is making that move.

The MDX hybrid gets 26 or 27 city MPG with over 320 HP. I'd like to see the RDX with at least 320 HP and possibly more with MPG around 30 in the city. I honestly do not understand why Acura just doesn't make the sports hybrid the standard as they are not charging that much more for it now, and they would gain major economies of scale having it across the board.

I wasn't able to learn anything further on that Wednesday night but I will check again in January to see if I can find out more on the topic.
