Clearly all you deniers have not owned a modern turbo vehicle.

You have to remember that car enthusiasts are very conservative.

It's not that some of those concerns aren't valid, but if you came out with a shit implementation of some technology 5 years ago and there were bad reviews (i.e. direct injection and intake port clogging), chances are that enthusiasts would bitch about it for the next 20 years.

This, at the same time when people complain about Honda's lack of innovation in powertrains. This is just the way we are, apparently.

I made this post under drivability and durability. You can't make this shit up. People have buried the Accord before even giving it a chance. I had a 2005 TL and what a dog that car was. Talk about a heavy V6 that was f'ing slow as shit when I needed power and a transmission with a delay or no downshift to move me when I needed it. I have driven a friends 2017 V6 Touring Accord and I PREFER MY 1.5T CIVIC TOURING OVER IT! I have the power I need WHEN I NEED IT. No compromises. I am excited about the 2.OT Accord. Will probably get one.

Also do you think Honda is going to RUIN their reputation over these turbo engines. People need to SETTLE down. Talk about resisting change.

You could make a valid opinion statement like "I am looking forward to a turbo 4," or "I prefer the power delivery of a turbo four"

But to even assert that the Civic 1.5T has more go than ANY Accord V6 is just certifiably, verifiably and mathematically false.

Not only does the Accord make WAAAAY more torque all over the place, but it makes it power longer, harder, further and over a broader spectrum. Period. It has a better power to weight ratio. Period. It absolutely SMASHES the Civic 1.5T in every acceleration regard. Period. I have driven both. The 1.5T is peppy. The Accord V6 is on an entirely different level. The only way you could even try to make this argument is to put the Accord in ECO and the Civic in whatever lame "sport" mode it has, which would be apples to oranges.
