Any guesses on hp? I'd say 280hp 275tq. The Avancier's 2.0T is 268hp and 272tq.

Autoblog, IIRC, put out 275hp, and something similar for torque. In one of the articles I read out of about five from the various and usual car rags (at least before my boss had to have me sedat...NONONO! I KID!), I thought I saw something where the ultimate output had to be dialed-back because of durability concerns!!!!!

Imagine my SHOCK!

Perhaps if they wouldn't try to pull a semi trailer with a lawnmower engine, that wouldn't be an issue!

Yes, it was--I apologize!

Less snort than the outgoing car, and you'll pay more for what will likely be less durability overall, and a less-refined driving experience!!

Somebody wake me up when this nightmare ends--is this a TOYota showroom??!!

Nope! Just hunger pangs, because Akio & Company have the best chance in years to eat Honda's lunch!

De tuning for durability issues, that is comforting to know, yeah that tends to happen when you ask little engines to work with larger heavier cars. They would not have that issue if they stuck with a 6 cylinder and kept refining and tuning the J series.

I say they take er easy again with 240-260hp which still likely won't be anywhere near as durable as a good 6 cylinder with 300hp while the new Camry with a 301hp 6 cylinder walks all over it and embarrasses the Accord.

Most of the press have said that the detuning is mostly so that it can run on regular fuel. They've also said to expect more power than the J35 so anywhere between 276 and 306 is possible.
