2014 Civic receiving CVTs

We received word by email from one of our dealer contacts today that they have received their first allocation notice from Honda on 2014 Civics. At this point they are only seeing EX-L Navi models, but the system is showing that these particular trim levels will be equipped with CVT transmissions. This development would tend to suggest that the 2014 Civics will be getting the new Earth Dreams DOHC 1.8L engines with direct injection, but it's certainly possible that Honda is keeping the current R18s and simply mating them to the Earth Dreams CVT. We should know something for sure fairly soon.

For what it's worth, here's the list of available colors for the EX-L Navi models.
