although the pre-face lift grew on me a while ago.

I agree, the pre-face lift grew on me as well. While I like the redesign, I'm not sure if I love it. It will certainly appeal to a much wider audience now that it is toned down.
The one thing I really hope they upgrade is the Navigation System. The graphics and resolution were absolutely HORRIBLE, almost embarassing. When I'm paying 40k+ for a luxry car, the graphics on the multimedia/nav system shouldn't look like an Atari.

i havn't really played around with the navigation on one much, but i don't recall it looking like an atari when i did see it. the resolution is also much improved as it is now vga standard which is i beleive 640x480...much higher than the previous nav system display.
with that said, i don't know if any of what you didn't like about the nav changed.

I have to admit, when I first saw the 4G TL I was shocked, and not in a good way. I think I called it a big silver buck-tooth. But then I bought a SH-AWD model and grew to really love it.
The redesigned front end? It's... dull. Boring. Very boring, in fact. Actually, it sorta reminds me of the mid-model refresh of the 1997 Ford Thunderbird when then inset the emblem inside the a hole in the plastic of the bumper. It's... It just fails to excite me. It looks more refined, but in being more refined, it also looks much less like a sports sedan and more like a sedan with a sports-inspired engine and suspension.
The result? I'm hoping they bring some technological advancements and a HP bump to the TSX or the Accord, because the "new" TL has me second guessing my blind brand allegiance to Acura (and Honda.)
And at $45K for the top-of-the-line Advance model, I think I can spend my money much more wisely elsewhere and be just as satisfied with my purchase.
Man that made me sad to say. :(

I'm confused. You bought and own a 4G TL that you really love. But the boring styling on the MMC has you second-guessing your allegiance to Acura? It didn't change your car, did it?

The nav system itself is great, I like the weather and traffic features, and the Zagat is really cool. I guess I'm more disappointed in the display. Especially when you compared it to other brands, the graphics and resolution just look horrible. Look at Infiniti, Lexus, BMW, Mercedes- they all have high res screens with crisp, clear graphics; it's a pleasure to look at. Acura's screens on on par with the technology of 6 or 7 years ago in terms of resolution. It just looks cheap and outdated. I know it sounds like I'm being too picky, but they're just far behind the pack in a lot of technology related areas.
That being said, it will be interesting to see how the new "improved" screen looks, I can only hope it is on par with the rest of the competition.
