Just curious if anyone else is considering picking up a used 2010 6spd and swapping to 2012 bumpers and lights? Or am I just wasting money?

It would probably cost more than just buying a 2012. The Acura folks say that they did not change the sheet metal, but you can be pretty sure that some of the mounting points and brackets have changed on the bumpers.

It would be less hassle and better to just get a used TL Type S from previous body style. You know, the good looking one that doesn't look like its the offspring of the Predator.

How is Torque Steer with this car? does this car have a LSD?

There is no torque steer on the SHAWD model. On the Base model, there is some torque steer during very spirited driving, you'll feel the steering wheel tug just a little bit if you're heavy on the throttle AND negotiating a somewhat quick turn/lane change etc, but you'll never be fighting to hold the wheel.

I have experienced mild torque steer on the AWD model too. It's tempered quickly by the shift in torque to the rear, but if you really jump on it hard while launching it (as I did while performing 0-60 testing), it actually launches a lot like a FWD car with quite a surprising amount of front wheelspin. I think it's a safeguard to protect the SH-AWD electromagnetic clutches in the diff or possibly even the half-shafts. It was a little surprising and disappointing to discover this "AWD" car actually launches like a FWD TL.

The Predator's preferred vehicle is the current TL. Its great for traveling through space to hunt on other planets.

for the record, i was referring to the 6MT model. torque steer is essentially a non issue in the 5AT, and the amount I experienced in the 6MT was pretty insignificant. I was just pointing out that it's not necessarily completely absent.

To the original poster, I think you might find it a little more difficult to just add the front and rear than you were thinking. If you listen to the various videos that are circulating right now, you'll notice some references to slightly different wings...but those slight differences might very well mean that it's impossible to bolt the 2012 front and rear to the 2010 6-6.
You'd better wait a while and research this carefully before going too far with this thinking. :-)
I own a 2010 TL SH-AWD 6-6. It has about 30,000 miles on it and it is my daily driver. It has been to VIR and Summit Point.
Yes, you can catch it unawares sometimes. It's a pretty big car to be throwing around like it was an ITR or a Miata. :-)
But it would surprise most of you. Honestly. It's an excellent vehicle for its size, and its price, and it puts to shame many large sedans costing $20,000 more.
I'm jealous of the 2012 Advance Package, but I haven't heard enough details. On some Acura, the Advance Package includes the magnetic fluid in the shock absorbers and allows the driver to adjust them. I haven't heard that this is available on the 2012 TL.

The 2007 MDX was the first to offer it, and the ZDX has it as well. It's not part of the 2012 TL Advance package.

I forgot the MDX had it way back in 2007. What an incredible vehicle... Talk about a segment crusher, the MDX has no rival at that price. Period. And Acura's sales figures seem to reflect it.
