I purchased a set of new general UHP tires for my 05 Acura TSX recently and I've noticed a weird rotating bounce feeling coming from the car from any speed lower than 60km/h... but especially at 45km/h. The tires have been balanced a number of times.. I recently had my front rotors machined as they use to shimmey.. and I have a new set of centric rotors on the rear from Tirerack...
What could be causing this weird vibration? I have no noticable issues with the tire visually.. and I also replaced a warped wheel which didn't help much!
It happens on and off the gas, and if i'm braking or not... but it seems to be exasperated by braking...
Anyone had anything like this before? I've run out of ideas.

I have the same issue on a 06 6speed accord. I have been through two sets of tires, machined front rotors, replaced front pads and rotors, replaced both wheel bearings, 2 alignments and had the tires balanced numerous times. The problem still persists. I give up. It has ruined my car but I am tired of spending money fixing things that are not the problem. The only thing I can hope for is that whatever is wrong will go ahead and break totally so I can know what it is.

did you check the axles? I know some members over at tsxclub solved a vibration because of bad axles.

How would I check for axle problems? I have had the local Honda shop look at my car multiple times and all they ended up doing was replaced the bearings. Is there something that I can point to as a sure sign I have a axle problem? (Bent I assume).
Also another stupid question is this something that could be damaged by a pothole?

Couple of thoughts.
1. The stock TSX wheels seem to bend fairly easily. I bent mine slightly when the car was new and some installers have noticed and some haven't. May depend on the balancer they use.
2. I've had sets of tires that flat spot very badly when cold. Even in 40F weather. The car would feel like the wheels are square. It wouldn't stop until it got up toward highway speed and the tires heated up. Key here is once warm the vibration should go away.
3. The stock TSX tires have very soft sidewalks. With high performance tires road undulations are much more noticeable. Make sure it's not just a particular section of road, due to your commute or something.

Wow glad to know i'm not alone! My summer was ruined trying to fix my problem.. since April I've been trying to deal with issues.
1. First my brakes act up, I replaced the rears because I replaced the front rotors only a year ago. I still feel a brake wobble. I then bought new tires cause it was time.
2. New Bridgestones, vibrated on the highway but were smooth all the rest of the time.. except when braking.
3. Balanced them twice.. no fix....Replaced the bridgestones under warranty, with General UHPs.
4. Highway vibration was gone, but the low-speed vibration was worse (rotated wheels from one side to the other)...
5. Machined front rotors.. braking shake was gone.. but low speed vibration was still there.
6. Balanced again.. found a wheel was hoping on the balancer.
7. Brought it to Acura.. they claim I need a road force balance and wheels are fine.
8. Road force balance done.. no fix... unmounted the tire from the bad wheel brought it to be repaired... no dice.. wheel can't be fixed. I replaced it with a used wheel.
9. Vibration improved.. nothing above 60km/h now.. rebalanced again.
10. Went to my mechanic.. nothing wrong with the car. Brought another wheel I thought might be bent to get repaired.. told wheel is fine.
11. I'm fairly sure the Generals are the culprits.. or the machine job on the rotors caused them to be out of balance some how???
12. Going to put my winter tires back on when it cools down a bit and I'll know for sure.
I've played around with tire preasure like crazy.. but doesn't seem to make any difference.

So I swapped back to my winter tires.. first I put the front two on.. vibration still there. Then I put one in the rear, test drove.. problem remains.. then put the last winter tire on.. problem remains!
So I ruled out it being my tires....which is annoying.. because now I know I will feel this year round.
I have a feeling my rotors are not balanced.. either bad machine job or faulty centric rear rotors from new.
That or some sort of suspension damage from the pothole I hit a few months back (which also subsequently damaged my wheel).

Maybe try to find someone who does on the car wheel balancing. Hopefully that will hit all the potential problem areas.

I don't believe this is tire related so balancing won't fix the issue.

That actually would address it but doing an on the car balance for a FWD car can't be recommended. Man I feel your pain. 1st problem I have had ever with a Honda and wheels in my 17years of owning them. And to top it all off I would consider possibly buying something else but Honda currently has nothing offered in line with my 6MT Accord sedan. So verdict for me is I am going to try balancing one more time and then just live with it. It has to be these damn low profile tires. Never understood why we have them on a non sports car. Not only does it run up the cost when you want to replace but creates issues like this and of course the morning flat spotting that I haven't even mentioned.

ya flat spotting has been bad with both perfornace tires ive purchased.. you basically cant drive the car hard before parking it or it will vibrate the whole way to work in the morning...sucks i live so close to the highway on ramp. i might sell these tires and pick up all-seasons like oem.
i hear some occasional brake clicking i have to get checked.

I had the same problem did the same things and replaced the rear rotors with new one and it turn out to be the E-brakes shoes not properly adjusted. they rubbed like if they were on a oval drum causing a vibration 20mph and up.
Look into it & good luck!

Hey I wondering what kind of tires you have on your Honda Accord? What two sets did you try?
