Honestly the RL's chugging along at a low, but not entirely pathetic pace. This time last year we were expecting single digits.
Could be worse. Could be better, but it could be worse.
Sorry, but I feel the need to show the poor RL some love. :)

I am so baffled by the consistent uptick in RL sales. If this had happened @ the time of the 2009 refresh, I would understand. However, nothing was really new for 2010 & incentives are still as high as they have always been. So what gives? Are people finally catching on that this is a good car ... ?

Who knows, maybe it's people going to check the ZDX, that end up buying the RL.
Don't ask me how or why, but it's the only thing that has really "happened".
Of course, it might just be Honda bringing more to sell from Japan and push them into the dealers; that I have no clue about.

Actually, I don't think they made many RLs in 2009. If memory serves me correctly, they shut the production line early in the summer. We were in "sell which you have" mode on the RL through most of last year. In fact, if I remember correctly we could not even order cars through the normal process. If we had a customer that needed an RL we were supposed to contact our district manager.

Do you know any RL made in 2010? Just want to confirm.

Acura made the current RL uglier than its original predecessor. In addition to its grotesque appearance, the car is too heavy because of SH-AWD and has really poor fuel economy. The RL is certainly an acquired but excusive taste to those who don't mind luxury gas guzzlers!

I'd normally stick in my extremely positive sarcasm here, but honestly I didn't expect it to continue for this many months in a roll. Are Acura dealers giving them away...?

I actually saw one of the new RL's tonight. I was in beverly hills and parked next to a black one. It has similar design problems as the TL.
In some angles, the sharp curves made the car look amazing, even my gf said so. But as a whole, it was pretty disjointed and awkward looking.
I also saw the front grill and realized it has more similarities with the camo'd MMC TL than the 2011 tsx wagon grill, mainly due to the extra black "V"s under the big shiny boomerang. I have a feeling the TL's will will look more like this, but aligned along the headlights letting the hood match the headlight line (like the current TSX)

Friend of mine bought one recently. Traded in his old RL. Perhaps its just buyers coming back for more. From some angles its a mess. The rear three quarter is actually the best angle.

Agreed. Although I also think the front three-quarter is also a very good angle, I find myself staring back in the rear view at it a lot when driving in front of one

Oh yes, of course. They wanted dealers to order a years supply early on (probably to minimize running the line below capacity) but I don't think it ever turned out that way. I had a couple of customers replace their old RLs with a 2010. In fact, both of my customers who were up on lease went with another RL. They were generally happy to receive cooled seats, the back-up camera, iPod integration, and the promise of better fuel economy. Neither had any comment of the exterior changes though one thought the new rims looked nice.
