I've test driven several TSX's over the course of the last 6 months or so at this dealership. Every time I've been there I have been displeased with the average or below average customer service experience. But the last time I went in there the salesperson was downright rude. I was having my Integra appraised. The salesperson (who is the sales manager nonetheless) went over my car, slammed my hood shut, and was very rude and short talking to me. He acted like a "stereotypical" used car lot salesman acts. I'm not going to get into the details, but I wrote a two page letter to Acura giving them feedback on this dealership and my experience, and I will never go back there if I can help it.

Maybe they want you to buy a car and not test drive all of them?
Snark aside, salespeople get really impatient and hungry if they don't think you are a 'real' customer.
Also, Acura dealers don't really like Integra people. I have noticed this.

The funny thing was, the guy I talked to on the phone said he knew a lot about Integras and would be interested in getting another one on the lot (they had one on the lot currently, a really high mileage one). He sounded very nice. It's too bad I got the condescending and rude salesperson, who also happens to be the sales manager. He treated me like an idiot and as if his time was too important for me. Maybe you're right and he was just looking down on me because I had an Integra coupe. Who knows. Either way, it can't reflect well on the rest of the sales staff when the leader has such poor customer service.

umm, just wondering, if you want to complain their cust. service, isn't it not supposed to be here? You can't even post on the right forum.
Just don't want others to be misleaded by the OP, I had many experiences with Acura of Lynnwood Service and parts dept. They are always plesant to deal with and doing excellent jobs.
Wait, my wife bought a TLS from them and traded in her 96 accord, I don't think they are bad to deal with.
Not saying what you experienced wasn't true, just that speaking from experiences, it goes both ways. It's amazing that how Some people thinks that in this economy, if you have "power"(/$$??) to buy something, salespeoples will kill each other for the chance of rolling out the red carpet for you. Absolutely not true!

Did you deal with 1 salesperson during your multiple visits or whoever you saw first each time? Can you elaborate on rude short of the trunk slam? If you have been stroking 5 different people you probably created a "bad rep" amongst that sales force.

Service can refer to any aspect of dealing with a dealership, not just repair work. Customer service is the most important part of a dealership, and the sales staff are usually the ones interacting with customers the most.
Customer service does go both ways, and your experience may have been better. In fact most people's experiences may be good, but it only takes one bad experience.

I've dealt with 3 different sales persons total. I haven't done any talking with any of them, just casual test drives. I am extremely nice to them and the few times I've taken cars out on test drives I am equally nice to the vehicles. I don't even point out their mistakes when they are talking about the vehicles ;]. For details, you can read what I sent Acura (doc file).

I have no love for Acura of Lynnwood. In fact, I have heard negative things about them before. BUT! You sound like an idiot and you sound like the "typical" stroke that no sales person wants to deal with. If you are serious about buying a car than deal with one sales person and eventually give him/her the business. Dont go flippin wasting there time and testing them to see if you know more than them... youre driving your cruddy lilttle integra... dont expect them to treat you like a king, if youre not willing to pay for it. You probably would go in and offer them 500 over invoice... that doesnt leave much for the sales guy. SO SHUT UP AND DONT BE POSTING negative reviews about companies based on your BAD CUSTOMER HABITS...

Thanks for bringing this thread back up 80Honda -I didn't catch toddysan's post originally.

Toddysan, I am not quite sure how to respond to your absurd attack. I can assure you I am not a "typical stroke" (whatever that is, I take it that it is derogatory). You know very little about the situation, as I have admittedly given very little information, and your assumptions are making an ass of yourself. I will try to explain myself further and more completely, not that I care if it changes your presumptuous point of view.
I had made it clear prior to all 3 test drives that I wasn't ready to buy and wanted to experience both the automatic and manual transmission on the 1st and 2nd gen TSXs. Each test drive was a month or more apart. They were brief drives and I was in no way wasting anyone's time (though I did pull one sales person away from his fraternizing with the desk gal). They didn't tell me to ask for them, give me a card, or in any way make me feel as though I should be loyal to any of them. Not that it is required to be loyal to a sales person -that is their problem, not the customer's.
In regards to my Integra; I had called the dealership and the person I talked to said they would like to get another Integra on the lot. They had one on the lot already, which was a pre-refresh one with higher miles and in a less desirable color. I wasn't expecting, nor did I ask for, an unreasonable amount for my car. I wasn't expecting to be treated like a king, and my Integra wasn't "cruddy". I was treated very poorly by the sales manager. He slammed my hood from fully open, falsely claimed the car had been repainted, and then shooed me off like I was wasting his time.
FYI, I am a sales person as well. I have an undergraduate in business and am looking to start my MBA program this winter or next summer. The first thing you learn in business school, and what is perhaps stressed the greatest throughout, is customer service. I know fairly well how customers should be treated and what constitutes a reasonable amount of time to spend on a customer. I do not have a distorted view on this process, and have helped many friends purchase cars.
In case anyone is interested, I ended up purchasing an A4 from the Audi dealership down the road. I had them appraise my Integra. They were more thorough during the appraisal and above all didn't treat the car like it was worthless (even though they would have just auctioned it -so it nearly was worthless to them). The entire experience was a night and day difference, and I did talk to multiple sales people and take multiple cars on test drives over the course of several weeks. I eventually sold my Integra to a private party and am very happy with how everything turned out there.

Siegen,
You may not hear back from toddysan on this. He only posts on TOV about once a year.
Interestingly enough, he did post just yesterday, except it was about the 2011 Sonata Turbo engine vs. the RDX Turbo.
