Hello,
i had a honda ek3 sedan year 1997.
the gear indicator keep blinking (D) and the enginecheck light is on.
Anyone know what is the problem? is it seroius? could it be the gear box oil need to change?

You have what is called a 'trouble code' or 'error code'. One of the sensors have detected a problem with your engine or gearbox. You need to go to an authorized Honda service center ASAP and get them to check the code and what problem it is indicating. Then of course, you should get them to fix it.

Mr Wong, I seek your advice, last year my CITY hitted pothole and the nextday morning I can't startup the engine. alarm ON/OFF ok and I have new battery. Since sunday is off day for HONDA, therefore I allowed mechanic to check. He found out that one of the wire at harness ECU was unplugged. I believe is IG power cable. Right after plugged I can start my car as normal.He never mentioned what type of wire. As normal I test drive, suddenly 'D' was blinking constantly at D never change eventhough shift to P, N or R. I refer to SC and I get replacement of CVT at cost RM27K. I just want to confirm is it becoz of ECU off mode and ON mode that affected my CVT failure.

No I don't believe the ECU problem could have caused your CVT gearbox failure. I am shocked to read of your case actually. So you actually had to pay RM27,000 to replace your gearbox ?

I am lucky is still under warranty. One more question Mr Wong. Lately I found one website DKtuning.com ECU remapping. After explained by the DKtuning representative saleman, eventhought no ECU remappable to date for L15A, but they have gadget called APS that give exactly the same result. It is safe Mr Wong?

I do not know of any commercially available method to remap an LSeries ECU yet. I have heard of someone who claims to have a device from Japan who he claims can make the ECU run richer or leaner but I have not have the chance to take a look at it so I do not know any details.
