If you buy into their corporate vision, Hondas will all be electric in the not so distant future. They won't even have grills. Maybe then we'll be debating the color of the retractable extension cords.

It's presently a moot point in the word's traditional meaning. I suspect you're using it in its modern idiom, which may just possibly, become true.

Ironically, the meaning of the word is in itself, moot!

Gas cars will still be the majority for at least 2 more decades and should be around for another 5 decades or more. I don't see the grill problem will be going away soon.

Just look at Audi R8. There's no reason for the grill to be there but it's still there to make sure it falls in line with the company images.

So everyone will have a grill on most cars until fossil fuel engine is history.
