i just changed the oil on my 2003 Accord sedan. i put the floor jack saddle under a cross beam in front just under the front motor mount.

was this OK? should i not do it again? i have visions of my engine popping through the top! :*(

actually the jack points should be in your owners manual (not that anyone reads theirs anyway). it should be under your front driver/passenger side doors right after the front tire you'll see a little piece of metal sticking out of the chassis. the "cross beam" is okay but not reccommended.also don't forget to check the balance of the car and use jack stands before going under the car.

follow the maunal for that type of thing. You could damage the suspension and void the warrenty. I know I and many other people have had suspension problems without even touching the suspensions on these 03 accords. So be careful
