I just found this from Acura. It sounds like it should make a difference. I'm taking my car into the dealer to have them do it under warranty...

Interesting.

Coincidentally, I just came from trying to fix a ticking sound on my Fit when I accelerate from a stop. It sounds like it's coming from the seat belt pulley. But Honda has already replaced that and the sound still exists. I then thought it could be the weather stripping. I pinched, prodded, pulled apart and reattached both front and rear strips and so far I think it's gone...for now.

I also noticed the TL has a TSB for wheel shimmy. This is a common problem for the 08-09 Accords, and so far, no one has found a solution. It ain't wheel balance. Just one of the reasons I gave up my Accord.

This problem/fix pretty well applies to every vehicle in the Honda family... unbelievable that Honda continues to send cars off the line with this problem. Its tops on my list of reasons not to buy a Honda next round, constant squeaking right in my ear... 10s of thousands of miles. And the serviceship time and again doing nothing about it...

I've only had the incredibly annoying "rattle in the ear" issue with my 05TL. Both the 01 & 05 had the sunroof rattle...

In the Si, rattles don't seem to bother me much. I think its because they are not consistent... mostly creaking when cold.

I have had my '08 TL since last August and to date NO RATTLES at all. It is very tight (so far). Maybe it took the end of the model cycle ('04 ~ '08) to finally get it right.
All that I know is it is a fantastic car and I plan on keeping it for a long time.
My only complaint about the car is the quality or resolution of the Nav screen. High Definition it is not!!

yeah, they finally fixed that. the screen on the '09 TL is really good - not high def but it's nice and bright and looks much more crisp than any other nav screen Honda's ever had. I remember driving the '04 TSX with that shitty screen and thinking what a joke it was. I thought the screen on our '02 TL-S navi was already too low res for its time.
