This is an excerpt of an e-mail just sent to dealers regarding their ordering options

2008 TL
These colors are no longer available to order:
Kinetic Blue Pearl B-546P
B-546PX
Moroccan Red Pearl R-528P
R-528PX

Type S HPT AT & MT are no longer available
Type S MT is no longer available

Constraint: TL Type S AT will be constrained at 14%.
TL Type S: (AT � UA7658KW)

TL Navi AT will be constrained at 30%.
TL Navi: (AT � UA6628KW)

Sounds like they are getting ready for job one for 2009 and restricting the engines and navis to do so.... Also sounds like there will be a new blue and new red for 2009

Well, isn't the new TL to be introduced as the new FMC model?, hence it would make sense for there to be new colors.

Will they be introducing the new TL Type-S for the 2009 model year, or will they be holding off until a few years after that - as they did this time?

I hope not, (is not like im purchasing one) - but that would suck for those who want a type S TL and also want the new model.

Given the fact that the new base TL is likely to inherit most of the last-gen drivetrain, I don't think those willing a TL-S now would have much to lose if there is no new TypeS since the begining.

I think that Jeff is actually fearing that the new base TL won't be available with the close 6MT beauty of current TL-S, so those that can't stand AT's (like myself) should better hurry to put their hands into some of those that may still be on stock at dealers.
