How will it compare against the A4 2.0 and the rest of the luxury sedan base models? I think it's on par. Even the 3 series needs the sport package to have the legendary handling. That'll put the 3 at $35k easily. I think everyone is right that Honda should have released a powerful TSX first to draw attention and win praise, but this still seems like a good base model for the TSX.

The all new 2009 Audi A4 will be similarly sized to the 2009 TSX.

The Audi will have a more powerful 2.0T engine (200+hp with 200+ torque) with the same if not better fuel eco than the TSX.
But the Audi's dash is so outdated and bland. It looks as though its from the 90's.

I will say that the '09 Audi A4 looks really good in the flesh. I'd consider it if I were in the market for a premium entry-level sedan for sure. And Audi interiors are typically the best in the business.

So that means Audi is not the TSX's target because it falls short. Why does it seem like Acura went brain dead after the 2004 TL?

It's just that after 2004, there weren't any new sedans being introduced. And people don't really care about CUV/SUV.

The layout reminds me of 99 TL. But seriously, I just sat in the S5 not 2 weeks ago which will share the same dash as the new A4. Audi still got the best interior material out of ALL car manufacturers. The way all surfaces look and button clicks are orgasmic.

TSX looks like is getting the kinda fisher price interior we saw on the RDX and Accord.

I agree that Audi interior materials are superior.
A friend of mine has a current gen A4 and everything inside is soft to the touch and each button/latch/handle is soooo hushed and operates smooth.

I just don't like the way the center stack looks .. very outdated IMO.

I think the '09 A4 2.0T will easily be cross shopped with a loaded '09 TSX.
