I am gonna be getting an 07 fiji blue sedan this week. I am curious as to if i should claybar this new car after buying. Also would using a product like Klasse all in one polish and sealant remove the wax from the dealership so I could apply a coat of sealent after the all in one without a problem. Ive read in many threads that you do not want to apply sealent on top of wax due to the spotting that can occur. thanks for the help

claying should be fine. the claying would already remove the wax on the surface. the klasse AIO is already a sealant so you dont need another sealant on top of that, unless you're talking about klasse HGSG to improve the shine.

Claying a new car is a great idea; it's not as clean as you think.
Claying does not remove all the wax. However, AIO can do that in a single application.
I have one layer of AIO and four layers of HGSG. The candy-coat reflection is amazing! I want to do one more layer before I begin waxing, but I've been getting really lazy...

Well I bought the car, since it is summer there is a good possibility that bugs will get plastered to the front of the car before I get the chance to wash and apply the polish and sealant. Will the claybar remove the bugs from the car or is there another method. Because in washing my cars in the past there ive always had a problem getting the bugs completly off of the car....

I use Stoner's Bug & Tar Remover because it works well for most things. But sometimes, guts or bird crap that have baked onto the paint are difficult. This is where isopropyl alcohol finishes the job. I got a box of 100 wipes for $1.99 at my local ShopRite, so it's well worth the money.
Don't let them bake on... the bugs must be removed as soon as possible! When the guts ferment over time, they turn into shellac, which is undoubtedly bad for your clearcoat. For a car with severe shellac issues, a heavy rubbing compound and wet sandpaper is the only remedy.
And remember, the bug/tar removing spray and the IPA will dissolve wax. You will have to rewax the area after treating it.

thanks televascular you seem to have a wealth of knowledge and are willing to share.....thanks again for the help...oh yeah one more thing. when using the clay bar what direction do you move it im assuming it is a back and forth motion. And for example would you go from the top to bottom of the hood or from side to side....thanks again

oh and also what is the correct motion for applying the klasse AIO polish and The high gloss sealant. I am assuming that you do not want to use a circular motion, as this is how i waxed previous cars and I have always had swirl marks...hmm I wonder why. Well i am here to learn and everybodys help is appreciated
