My fiance's car got scraped at the train station.
There is a scrape in the front (most likely a rubber piece or black paint from a car - her car is white by the way). I was looking at it and I could actually pick off some pieces of the scrape with my finger nails.....is there a way to try to scrape off the rest of the paint/rubber?
I don't think I can buff this out with wax since the other car's paint is literally on her car.
Any suggestions? I just clay-barred her car too!

Waxing and claybarring will not really help in this situation.
Let's go on a step-by-step diagnosis:
Wash the area gently with car soap, then examine the scrape. How deep is it? Generally speaking, if the scratch is deep enough to catch with your fingernail, there is nothing that will completely remove the scratch, short of repainting the part. You can minimize its appearance using 1500-2000 grit wet sandpaper, a rubbing compound, and a fine polish.
If the scratch is so deep that you can see the plastic/metal part, there is little you can do. At this point, the scratch has gone through the clear coat, color coat, and the primer. This is beyond the capabilities of polishing or touch-up painting, though they will make the damage less noticeable.
However, a mild rubbing compound followed by a fine polish will remove all of the dark-colored paint from your fiance's light-colored car. As long as the scratch has not penetrated the color coat, it will not be very noticeable; white cars tend to hide blemishes better than most colors.
You can find more detailed information about any of the processes I described at Autopia.
Good luck!

You have to very careful buffing a bumper. You can damage the paint a lot easier than on a piece of sheet metal. If it's a big scrape, you may want to take it to a body shop or a professional detailer and have them get it off.

Thanks for the advice! I bought Turtle Wax Rubbing Compound and after a few applications, it took off all the paint of the other car. Thanks a lot
