slight oversize = less air pressure?

I've got 245/45/17 Exclaim UHP's on my '05 TL 6 speed. The OEM size is 235/45/17. Could I reduce the all around air pressure by, say, 2 lbs. each and not significantly affect tire wear? As these tires reach the end of their life,(30K) they seem to be wearing like an overinflated tire, though not significantly. I always rotate on schedule and maintain correct pressure.
Should I get a hobby?
