I bought a 98 Civic HX with 127K miles and wonder if the OEM timing belt has any lettering on them. I inspected the belt when adjusting the valve clerances and the belt has no lettering on it.
The belt looked OK but visual inspection isn't really much good with timing belts. If I knew the OEM belt had markings then I would know it has been replaced. Otherwise to be on the safe side I'll just tear into it and replace it.
Also, any votes on changing the water pump just because it's there, or are they often good to 200k?
