I am somewhat ashamed to admit, despite living a mere four hours from the Tail of the Dragon, I havn't gone yet. I've heard great things, but before I got my Si, my previous car, a 99 4cyl Accord, didn't inspire me to make the drive and "tame the dragon." The Accord got me around, never left me stranded, and I had a good deal of fun with it on twisty roads, but I never felt like making a four hour drive to simply go driving, and then turn right around and drive back home. I think I'll have to correct this now that I have my Si. I won't get out there this summer, but I have my tax return check planned for new wheels and tires in the spring, and The Dragon's Tail would be as suitable a testing ground for new, grippier tires as any I can think of.
Great writeup guys; I'm looking forward to the videos and your detailed impressions of each car you took out there. Ludegar, that's ballsy to let these guys thrash your car out there, but I would've done the exact same thing if the opportunity had come up. Good work!

TOV promised me the car would be worth seven figures on ebay post-thrashing... but now I want to keep the car, ouch!
