Hydroplaned on my OEM Michelin Cross Terrains the other day (52,000 miles on them). I was going too fast entering a heavy downpour on I-25 near Santa Fe when I hit a puddle and just started floating... pretty spooky. I was for sure going too fast, but they are getting pretty worn anyway. I was thinking about replacing them this past spring, but decided they would make it until this fall (need to replace them before ski season).
Looking to replace 'em now. I see various tires (on TireRack.com) that might or might not be better than just picking up a new set of Cross Terrains at CostCo. Anyone here have any thoughts/advice or just plain old strong feelings on this?
