Little Rust dots on white paint (Score: 1, Normal)

I have a 98 integra and there are little rust marks on the trunk and rear bumber. I was wondering if you know how to removie it. I hear you can get it off by waxing a lot or using the clay bar. Do you guys know any good ways? THanks a lot.

had the exact same problem with my car. My prelude had sooo many spots that i was considering a repaint becuase i thought it would rust through the car. lol. BUt just using mother's clay bar will get those spots off (some larger rust spots will require for you to really work). I need to reclay my car becuase i missed my spots on my car due to the fact that i ran out of spray and my bar couldnt pick up any more contamination.

clay bar for sure. If that doesnt take it all off. you MIGHT want to try some kind of abrassive polish. Nothing too strong. But clay bar it first.. And if that dont work then try the polish.. And of course. after you get the dots out, Id suggest waxing it. And may as well wax the rest of the car right? lol

EXACTLY!!! They actually arent rust spots even though they look like it. They are pollution fallout. I've had white cars since 1990 and they all get these little "rust" spots ALL over. Thank goodness I found the clay bar. Use it according to the directions...it's not easy, it takes a lot of time and work...but it will take of most of them.

When I first found the clay bar I had a 2001 EX Coupe...taffeta white, and it would feel like sandpaper when I would run my fingers over the paint after I washed it. I used the clay bar and it it really works! My car feels show room smooth when I'm done...and then I wax it as to keep these pollution fallout particles out of the paint. Try it!! Good luck!

your right it is pollution. Unfortunatly. lol. Oh well. As long as I live long enough before the world ends im perfectly fine with it haha.

Nah..

But another thing I recently found out. If you ever get those little yellow dots on your car. The ones that are bigger then the ones you guys are talking about but you can wipe em off with your fingers. I use to think they were bird shit from small birds. Apperently, its jet fuel/oil from planes. haha. Man I cant believe what we are living with!
