Washing my (black) Si yesterday, I noticed a 1" line of spotty stains in the paint across front of the trunklid - the point where it meets the back window. the stains don't appear anywhere else, so it looks like it may be a situation where water running off the back window/weatherstripping may be eating into the paint. anyone else notice this?

On my NHB, Ive only noticed a dull spot of paint on the left side. Havent seen any 'stains' though near the window. Im wondering if you still have an adhesive film left over from the covering taped on during delivery.

Was it black, because I had a few spot and a streek around a few of the windows. It looked like the stuff from when they installed the windows. I brought it to honda and got it off in 10 min. I found a few more stops and will get it off when i go for my oil change.

Yeah, I noticed this too. Didnt think too much of it. It was gooey and sticky. I had to rub hard with alot of pressure to get it off. Watch it, it comes back.
What the heck it is and where it is comming from I dont know???
I thought it was comming from my tire shine spray----Somehow spraying to the hatch...????
I guess not--- ODD

You know, I wonder if this is related to the post I just read about the rear window becoming unsealed and possibly coming off. The dealership in both known cases attributed it to a puzzling lack or disappearance of the caulking that holds the rear window on.
Those that are noticing this stuff... open the driver's door and have someone else close it while watching to see if the rear windshield temporarily pops up.
