Hello, I have a 99 GSR turbo at 9psi. Right now i have stock wheels and am looking to upgrade. I have traction issues so i want as much tire as i can get. My first question is can i fit 7.5" wide tires with no rub and what wheel offset will i need? Im hoping to get 215/40-17, will those fit? My last question is will it really matter if i get 17's vs 15's as far as breaking and acceleration are concerned? Is it a bad idea to get 17's? Thank you so much for your help, this wheel offset crap is confusing me! Sorry i forgot to add i have Tokiko Illumina shocks with H&R sport springs they lower my car 1.75" in the front and 1.5" in the back. That might change what size fits

A 215/40-17 is a bit larger than we recommend. The two sizes we have found to fit are 205/40-17 and 225/35-17. I'd recommend the 205's because the 225's will require a fender roll. We sell 7.5" wheels for that car, but if its lowered the wheel has to use 40-45mm offset wheel only to prevent rubbing. In a nutshell 17's are a bit tricky on that car. Remember also that you need at least a V speed rated tire for that car.
