Could be a hundred things: could be a change in driving habbits, could be a different brand of gas, could be bad/unchanged oil, could be a sensor going bad (O2, MAF, thermomosat etc.), could be engine internals going bad from said bad/unchanged oil. Could be bad timing. Narrow it down first...there are waay too many possibilities as almost everything that goes wrong with a car will affect gas mileage.

Thanks for the help. There hasn't been any change in how the car runs. I'll start with the oil its been about 4k since the last

How long ago did you notice the mileage drop? Did it happen to be near the beginning of winter?

How many tanks have you noticed this drop in gas mileage? If it's only one, I'd see if the trend continues with another tank. If it's more than one, then I'd start by checking the tires first. If they're really low on air, that'll hurt gas mileage.
Another thing to check is the air filter. After that, it could be a bunch of other things... most of which would require a mechanic.

I'm on the 3rd tank since I noticed it and my wife brought it to my attention

Probably cold weather then. Try adding a few psi to the tires.

Hmm, the server seems to be having issues here. If you post again, dont make another post when it gives you the error, just go back to the thread and refresh so theres not all these double posts.

It's cold weather. I am here in Detroit, and moth my cars have gone down about 3-4 mpg.

My car mileage also drop in this cold weather. It never happened before. The gauge is not reading the gas level correctly.
Does anyone know if the gas gauge weaken when the car is old. I have 93 accord 4cyl for 12yrs straight.
