Hey does anyone have any experience with spoon cams on B18C's??? If so what are they like compared to others??? It seems nobody ever mentions anything about spoon cams or any spoon items in gerneral on here yet spoon are world famous for there honda after market parts. Is this because of there high price or because they dont cut it performance wise compared to others??? From the specs i've read the spoon cams for the B18C are very similar in size and everything to standard type r cams. Is this right? If anyone could help i'd appreciate it. Cheers

Don't get them. I had the Spoon cams on my GS-R and was very disappointed with the results. Yes, they are similar to the Type-R cams. Basically, it didn't add much HP after the engine mods I did. I should have gotten the Toda Spec B. Hopefully Shawn will chime in with some numbers, though I don't know if he's dynoed any Spoon cams for the B18C.

I think the reason you don't see much on Spoon products are typically overpriced. There are alternatives which give better performance at a lower cost...

My friend has one but I don't know the specs but his idle is not that smooth compared to my brother's EG6 with Jun Type 2 so I gather the cam is not that mild. Anyway we've got similar mods on our ITRs except that mine has been dyno fuel tuned with 4.7 final drive with stock cams. As Gilbert pointed out the output was pretty dissapointing for him as I can take him in any gear, from roll on or standing start. On average I leave him about 1 - 1 1/2 cars length.
