if you look at this civic with a type r engine in it
http://www.importtuner.com/features/0208it_shawn/
im pretty shure theres no ac, power steering, or fans in the engine bay. im trying to get mine to look like that.
would it make sense to pull out these accesories and what else can i take out to free up more space and reduce weight, and can a GSR function ok without power steering and fans?

There is certainly no A/C or power steering. You can't really tell about the radiator fan in the pics (can't see much of the radiator, including the back), but I believe there is one there. The article mentions that it is a street driven car and also mentions a radiator fan switch. The car would overheat being street driven (or at any low speeds) and wouldn't need the fan switch if it had no fan.
You can certainly run any car without power steering, it will just be more difficult to maneuver around in slow speed situations. As for the radiator fans, you're going to need it. It doesn't way hardly anything -- maybe 5 lbs.

I pulled my PS and I let a friend drive my car once and he didn't realize it didn't have any power steering. in parking lots it's a bitch some times until u get used to it, but who spends time in parking lots. and if you live in texas then leave the A/C.

I spend plenty of time in parking lots. It's a wonderful sport called autocross. Sometimes for those low speed corners, I'm rather glad that I have powersteering.
My ex's car doesn't have powersteering and as long as you aren't trying to turn the wheel while at very slow speeds or while stopped, it really isn't noticable.
Personally, I wouldn't give it up. It maybe adds like 1-3 HP if removed and takes out about 5 lbs. The A/C is the really heavy weight when it comes to power suck and weight. The whole system is proably close to 50 lbs (give or take). Not to mention that is it proably about 5-10 HP drag on the engine.
If you want to make some more room and balance the car a little more, then you can also relocate the battery to the trunk.

I WAS TALKING ABOUT WALMART PARKING LOTS, WHERE THERE ARE OLD PEAPLE TRYING TO PARK AND FAT PEOPLE IN TIGHT SHORTS ARE WALKING INFRONT OF YOU WHILE YOU ARE TRYING TO MENUVER AROUND THE IDIOT WHO WILL WAIT AN HOUR FOR THOSE POEPLE TO GET OUT OF THE FRONT ROW SPOT! THIS IS THE SHITTY SPORT OF SHOPPING.
as far as A/C goes. take it or leave it. yeah, it sucks power, but if you need the power then TURN IT OFF. if you don't live in texas and you don't have a chick that will have to ride in the car in the middle of a hot summer day, then take it out. it is a little heavy.

Jesus, take a vallum or xanax, man! You'll live longer!
I've driven plenty of cars without power steering and it's really not too bad, even in parking lot situations. Yes, the wheel is harder to turn, but it's a good workout without having to go to the gym. And many auto-xers don't have power steering.

P.S. - I prefer Target over Wal-Mart.

I seem to remember dorking aroudn on the dyno one day with my Prelude and decided to make a pass with the A/C on. IIRC, the hit was something like 20 WHP (!!) I knew it felt like it sucked power, but 20WHP!?
I'll have to see if I can find the dyno run.

Okay, so it was "only" 15hp....
it's interesting how the hit in power doesn't become apparent until around 3800 rpms.

Maybe the compressor clutch wasn't engaged? They do turn on and off a bit.
