Besides, the transmission and new dash layout which I think looks cool as hell, somewhat motorcycle like, although hard to get used to at first..........I think most this car will be a monster with future performance packages, Only thing I don't like about the car is the weight but everything else is Golden........Great review Jeff!

I concur, great review!!! Even though I may have to wait till February at the latest this car will no doubt make it's way into my garage. I'm counting the days until I can at least take it for a test spin. I'm giddy with anticipation!!!

Oh yeah, wife and I buying Hybrid right now.........a few months later I am getting the SI too......definitely........Can't decide between Habanero Red and Fiji Blue!!

Yeah the Habanero Red is at the top of my list as well, but I wait and see what it looks like in white before I make that decision.

i wonder if this red is more bright/orangey in real life. so is this the same red as the 03-05 accord coupe?

Definitely not...........I saw a video of the Habanero Red SI on Yahoo.com.............it's definitely an Orange color........but there probably using the word red for PR reasons........to more accurately describe it.......it's like the 05' RSX bronze color with a touch of magenta in it........hence the "RED". When Sun hits it direct it's glows Orange.......in low light, it reflects more magenta and it looks Red.

Yup, I agree... i posted this on another thread somewhere. It looks more of a Burgundy-ish color, similar to that of my 06' accord coupe.

With all black interiors, it will be very hard to choose an exterior color...
I've never liked tan interiors, so that usually narrows it down some. This isnt the case in the SI...

Rallye Red
Habanero Red
Alabaster Silver
Taffeta White
The only one I wouldnt consider is black, black is NICE, but too tough to keep clean. Not sure I'd choose Rallye Red either, my ex had an `04 EX-SE Coupe 5-sp that was RR and it showed scratches pretty bad...

Guys, I was last Saturday at Chicago and I got to test drive a pre-production Red Habanero SI... (TWICE!!!!around the track)... Besides that is incredible to drive, the color is defenetly not orange.
I have to say that I was very dissapointed, the red is more like a red wine color. It was too dark for my taste. It just doesn't look like a sport car.
I have been following the SI very close, and I had the red habanero on the top of my list until last week... Now I am going for the Fiji Blue, but I still want to see it in person as well, just to not get another disapointment.
P.S: I stop and the honda dealer today, and they have a white coupe EX. It looks really good, but didn't love the texture and the looks of the paint from a close distance.
