2005 CRV SE Wheels and Tires    (Score: 1, Normal) 12-29-2004 14:11

I just purchased a 2005 CRV SE and installed 18" chrome wheels and 255 45R 18 tires. It looks great, but when adults are sitting in the back seat, the tires seem to rub the wheel well when I hit a bump. No damage yet to tires or wheel well, but I obviously need to fix this problem.

Are there any proven solutions?

(1) Try either fender lip rolling or trimming the molding on the inside of the wheel well if there is no fender lip, see more on fender lip rolling at:

http://tom.actionfit.com/fenderolling.html

(2) Change your alignment settings so you're running more negative camber but you'll risk accelerated tire wear if you run too much negative camber
