I would like to install the Infinity component speakers in my doors
(Kappa 60.5 cs), but I am concerned about the mounting depth in
the doors. The hole for the stock speaker is 5 inches, but the stock
speaker is a 6.5 inch speaker with a spacer ring. Has anyone
installed the 60.5 cs's in 94 prelude doors before? If so, did you
use a spacer?
I like the sound of the kappa's, but I don't want to buy then if I can't
make them fit.
Thanks for you help...Joe

Let me rephrase my question since my last one has draw the
sound of crickets :)
Does anyone know where I can get a detailed drawing of the Infinity
Kappa speakers that has dimensions called out?
If no one has had experience installing these speaker in a 94 Prelude
door, then a detail drawing is the next best bet.
I tried looking for a contact on the Infinity web site, but had to luck
Can someone help

In my 86 prelude, I fit 6 1/2" speakers but I had to cut the basket because the honda magnets were much smaller. The mounting depth was fine. I'm sure there have been some major changes since 86 but I also had to do the same for my 93 Integra.
Check out Crutchfield's Website for the 62.5i speakers which are similar in specs.

Well, I finished up. I put Infinity Kappa 60.5 in the stock door holes
and the tweeters in stock dash locations. I put 63.5i 6.5 inch 3 ways
in the back deck. The back deck was a tight fit but they fit........
.....eventually. A dremel came in handy to grind the spacers abit, but
no metal cutting at all!
They sound great with an alpine cda09835 with no amp! An amp
may be in the future, but not for a long while. I will get the new
sirus module first.
I am really happy with this system...
