does any other auto manufacturer even compete in this arena, or is honda so far ahead in terms of innovative safety there is no true competition?

European manufacturers are also working hard in some areas. For instance, Renault is able to produce the safest bodies for car occupants to date.

Even if they don't have anything to prevent accidents like the CMS or the new Night Vision Inteligent System.

Even if they don't care about pedestrians or if they don't care about if their vehicles are dangerous to other vehicles as Honda does with its "Advanced Compatibility Engineering".

No..i dont think so...
I dont think they care much about ped x safety. It doesnt show on their car records. And Ped X safety would not be the buying breaker in most cases for consumers.
