Finally a first choice color available for us, can't wait for '05 Odyssey. We have 3 and 5 year olds so not ready for leather interior.
My wife had a choice of Pilot or MDX SUVs and she replied she's minivan type of gal.
Hope the new design is nice so not to 'scare' her away to DCX minivans.
I want my OTR...

Hmm., our 00 EX was dark green..... our 02 is silver.... do you mean to say there was no 04 green EX?
For the OTR "upgrade" you'll have to order the ITR sticker from the Acura dealer. But I don't think the sticker will look good in a green background. The "type" lettering is black... so it looks best against a light background.

We want dark green, there is sage brush pearl but it appears 'off'. Besides we want standard side curtain airbags, this is only available on '05 models.
Agree light color (silver or white) would look good for OTR but wife likes dark green. It will be the only OTR in the state with that color!
I wonder if 17" wheels would be standard? Nissan (SE) and Toyota (XLE) minivan models has 17" tires and wheels.

I heard somewhere that there won't be 17" wheels. Seems a little odd to me that they wouldn't offer them, especially since they're going with the "Touring" model.
Maybe the HFP guys will develop something :) The current Odyssey is inherently good, but it would benefit from some more aggressive wheels/tires and some additional roll stiffness.

OK... the dark green sorta makes sense in the Evergreen NW. Do they have green roses in Portland?
Just make sure to stay on the right lane when a silver Odyssey with Paradise (*) Plates comes up the I5 on December 24th of this year sometime after 2:00 PM (Assuming that Shasta, The Shiskayou Pass and the road just south of Roseburg are clean... that's the time our OTR will be making its planned, second day run from Redding to the Puget Sound in our biennial Christmas Run).
BTW- if the van looks a bit loaded in the back, that'll be the five or so cases of Two Buck Chuck that we'll be taking up to the heavily alcohol taxed state of WA.
In those trips... I don't really care for big wheels and low profile tires.... I just wanna make sure the tires grip the snow and ice and that the cable chains will fit just in case I gotta use them.
I suppose that if I lived in the NW or the mountain states I'd make sure to get a set of 16 inch winter wheels. The 17inch rims may be too easily damaged by chains, eh?
And the way things are going... I plan to take the I405 bypass Portland this time around, because I the big GO LAKERS window sticker might raise some ire downtown.
(*) That's Ahnold's Kah-lee-fohr-nya for Koh-stah Me-sahns like you....

"We have 3 and 5 year olds so not ready for leather interior."
Leather is ideal for kids. Mine are 17 and 14 now but we weren't in any kind of financial condition to pay the extra for leather (or the models that include leather) when they were the age of yours, but it would have been a time and energy saver to have leather interiors in our vehicles. Messes wipe right up and you don't have to blot and scrub to get them out of the fabric. The only thing might be the hot surface during summer weather, but they will be in car seats, anyway, right? You could just put a towel under the car seat so their legs don't touch. I did that even for the cloth interiors. Just a thought.

Which Paradise are you talking about? I'm talking about Paradi$e..... the one in SoCal.... At one point, my home town, was quoted as being a Paradise.... by the Ranch that owned it for the prior 100 years or so. They even passed bumper stickers then... Hence my comment.

I can't agree more... My wife also didn't want leather. No messes - cleans right up w/ wet cloth. Now, she wouldn't want anything else (our kids were 1 and 4 when we got our '02). Besides, I like the heated seats on those cold Colorado mornings!

They are coming out with 17 or 18 inch rims only on the Touring. Will have heated and AC seats(NEW). The 2nd row seats recline.
