who has a 4-2-1 after market header and when you install it what the hell do you use for gasket for the place where the header connect to the B pipe (4-2)..??? i search all the autozone and kragen in my area and they dont' have that gasket...do you even need a gasket there? i assuming you do because metal metal doesn't seal hot gas very good....any help or tips here would be good....

I've got a Greddy 4-2-1 header on my teg. The header didn't come with a gasket and I didn't see a gasket on the stock piece that came out. So I connected the bottom of the header to the cat and it's fine. Is your header a two piece design? The greddy is a one piece.

I believe DC sports has a gasket you can buy directly from them. You may have to buy a kit that includes the bolts for that section as well, it's under $20.

yeah it the two pieces design and i put some gasket from other car that closely match to but it was made out of paper so it burned up the gasket now it leak under hard accel...sound like a freaking old bug....i need this gasket quick...

I wonder if "permatex gasket maker" will work on a header? It can be bought at your auto part store, its a thick liquid that hardens to form the seal. Might be worth a try. I'm not sure if it can stand the high temperature of the exhaust manifold. You'd have to research it further.

Isn't the OEM part a two piece?
If so, the dealer may have a gasket for you.

Suggestion: Buy a Gasket from DCSports. Dont use permatex, dont use cheap paper gaskets.
