I noticed the plastic here scratches very easily. Any suggestions to clean it and/or protect it? I was thinking of spraying it with 303 protectant. Figured the moisture would make it less likely that the dust would scratch. TIA.

For the instrument cluster I always use a non lint cloth with auto glass cleaner, that seems to do the trick. If it appears spotty because of the liquid, then just give it a rubdown with a non lint non abrasive cloth like a microfiber towel?

Thats what I would use. I hate looking at swirls, especially on the electroluminescent gagues on the accord =) Hope this helps

i use the grabbitz dusting clothes mentioned in another thread. actually, i keep one tucked in the door and hit the interior every couple of days, including the gauges.

if its *really* bad, you can always get plastic polish. i found the stuff at autozone. the gauge cover on my 91 Wagon was nutz scratched up and it was driving me cross-eyed. jsut a small dab rubbed on and wiped off (like a wax), took the fine scratches out. worked great.

if you take that route, be careful not to buy a rubbing compound! last thing you want is your finger to go thru the cover. ! ;)

*** on a related note about cleaning things - if you have an auto dim mirror, i've read in places that you should not use windex or any other chemcal that has amonia. it affects the LCDs in them after a few years. don't know if this is true or not but i use a damp cloth with water only on it and then dry it.
