hi all,

I would like to complement you guys on the great job you are doing...
and then I have these suggestions/feedback points:

1- I'm sure someone mentioned this before but will we have a poll feature?? I think it's very usefull..

2- when in flat view in the forums, anytime someone posts a large picture, all the other posts get aligned to that message.
it's annoying since one has to move the right-left bar to read the messages since they won't fit in a screen (PS. i have a sreen res. of 1024 x768).

3- again in flat view, I have a "3 days old" message set. However, I can see an entire page, I believe 10 days and I can also see the other pages ## as if it is set for all messages!!

thanx and keep up the great work.

Nazeeh.

Yeah, we've been wanting to do a polling module for a really long time - it just comes down to priorties and resources.

also, can you give me a link to an example thread that shows that formatting issue you're talking about? i always use the threaded (fancy) view so i don't think i've seen what you're talking about.

ahhhh... now you consider polls.... back when I worked at Qtopics and sent an e-mail about a free seamlessly integrated polling service that my company provided, I got no reply....... I see how it goes.... ;-)

JK...

The Dot.Com went out of Business anyway so probably a smart move on the Vtec.net part anway. ;-)

I just had to throw in that little jab. If anyone wants to pick my brain on possible web Polling/Survey Issues that might arise, feel free to drop me a line when you guys start thinking about doing it.

hi Jeff,
oh, I hope we can see the poll idea come to reality soon tho.

now, if u could check this page first you'll see the 3rd thing I wrote about.
http://www.vtec.net/forums/forum?forum_id=3100
do u notice that no matter how many days u write(to change the # of days messages are shown in) it still has all the messages shown (in different pages of course)?!!

now let's check this pic.

u can see that it takes more than the width of the screen and then the rest of the messages has to be aligned to this particular *large* message. now try to read your message.

thanx,

Nazeeh.

NYIAS press days are April 7th and 8th. The show opens to the public on the 10th, with a "preview" day on the 9th.

Of course, we'll be there providing the best coverage for Honda and Acura info, and we'll also be checking out what's new from other makes.

hi Jeff,

the problem still not fixed :)
for ***Viewing Threshold*** when I choose to view the past 2-3 days, I still get all the days. it doesn't work..

Please view this link:
http://www.honda-acura.net/forums/showthread.php?t=134481

u will see that if the picture is too wide, the post containing that pic *only* will be larger to accomodate it but all others will be the same normal size....

Nazeeh.

PS: I think we might be able to use an outside source for the poll, can't we?

sorry, I had to reply to my message since i can't see THE edit button; it's not there!!

so as you can see below:
the 1st image shows that you are forced to scroll sideways to read the full message.
the 2nd shows the number of pages that the thread has; where usually you need the last 2-3 days' worth of posts.
the last (from another forum) shows that when one image (or it could be a link) is very large not all posts have to align to it!.

hope this clears things up.

Thanks in advance.
