In Asia ( Malaysia Especially) this car come with i-DSI engine and a CVT transmission. Some grey imports has VTEC engine and also some with a steermatic 7-speed manual. Where you could switch to manual from auto CVT.
Read some detal from TOVA site by WongKN below.

There's a good chance you'll very probably in the minority when the car gets launched over there !! The Fit/Jazz is extremely popular everywhere it is launched. In 'the flesh' it looks even better.

Couldn't agree more. After seeing one here in SoCal yesterday, I felt it looked much better in person. The proportions are good and it was reasonably attractive. My only complaint is still with the wheel/tire size. They need to be bigger to avoid the "toy car" syndrome.

The pictures show a reasonable sized wheel with a four bolt pattern. Would that be the same as the four bolt Civics? If that's the case, and if the offset is close, then there'd be a wealth of aftermarket tires to choose from.
How small/big narrow/wide were the wheels/tires you saw? In the pictures they don't look that small.
Where did you see the Jazz? Jeff mentioned in a off passing comment that it was in Palmdale? Was it on the freeway? Going up or coming back? I suppose we could keep an eye peeled for it in Torrance.

Apparently you don't. The Fit's going to compete with vehicles like the Echo, Aveo, Rio, Spectra, and even the Matrix/Vibe to certain extent. Pricing from what I hear is base 10K to 13K at most. The appeal for the rest of us is that leaves the Civic out of the bottomfeeder competition and maybe we'll get a little more from the next Civic.

It was hard to be sure as they were steel rims (black). The problem is that the tall, slab sides of the vehicle require a bigger rim for attractive looks.

Took a look on the Honda Australia website, and the 1.5-litre VTi model wore 175/65x14 tires.
Mr.Candlestick --- cant quite understand your reasoning. This is exactly the vehicle I am looking for! I find the design is awesome! Ingenious roomy design that looks very attractive from every angle. What is a small useful 5-door hatch supposed to look like?? A Ferrari ? Name one car in its class that is better looking.
Tuner possibilities are already there. The Spoon & Mugen versions look great! It cant be costing more than the civic, so it probably will be bargain-basement. Perhaps US$10k, or CDN$13k

Heh, not ugly to me... if this comes out I'm trading in my Accord Coupe in a heartbeat. Need a cheap car, usable trunk 4 doors and a tiny car. This is it!

The tyre sizes on the Fit/Jazz are 'standard' sizes; 175/75/13, 185/65/14, etc. So tyre choices are aplenty. However the rim offsets are quite unusual, high 40s if I remember correctly. The wheels will always look small on the Fit/Jazz because the body is designed to be so tall. It's like a box sitting on wheels. But somehow the design came out looking extremely good. One thing for sure, the ladies are falling head over heels for the car over here !!

In Turkey, the tyres on the Fit/Jazz happens to be 15 inches POTENZA RE-040 the same tyres found on the Nissan Skyline GTR and 350Z. Pretty interesting oh?. :) Performance tyres all the way!

175/65R14. This is the same tire size used a lot of the really small cars sold in the USA (I believe the Toyota Echo uses this size tire).
I have this feeling right now that Honda is currently completing safety testing of the US-market Honda Fit, making sure the car has good safety for all occupants by simulating the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) offset barrier test and making sure the vehicle's interior still provides decent protection for its occupants.
