The trunk release, both on the keychain and the interior button will not open the trunk. I'm assuming there is a fuse blown, but the owner's manual doesn't list a fuse for the Trunk release. Can someone point me in the right direction? Email me if you like at Roanoak1@Yahoo.Com
Thanks!

is anything else not working? typically there are a couple of accessories on one line. i would think something that draws as little current and as infrequently as a trunk release does (as opposed to other accessories that are always *on* - lights, radio or draw a lot of power - power seats, rear defroster), it would be on line with something else.
if something else is not working, maybe *that* item is listed in the manual and can help you zero in on which fuse. cig lighter? dome light? something you don't typically use or notice not working?
just a thought - does the remote work to unlock the doors? even so, maybe you need to reprogram the remote to be sure the car "recognizes" it.

Perhaps the solenoid is out.

There doesn't appear to be any other electrical features not working, with so many it's hard to tell sometimes. What is the solenoid? Is there a solenoid just for the trunk latch?

It must be something besides the remote, the door locks work fine. There is a trunk release button on the driver door that won't work either, so either there is some connection that's been severed, or the blown fuse theory. I can't find any other electrical device that is disabled. I tried calling a dealer to see if they could quickly tell me which fuse operates the trunk but the service desk person told me they use the same owner's manual I have.

fold down the rear seat. there shold be a lock to insert the master key in the rear deck. if the trunk does not have a lining on it, check to make sure something didn't get jammed in the trunk lid. if not, it should be easy enough to pop the rod/arm that trips the lock cylinder to open. while you're in there, hit the remote a few times to see if you can hear anything. you should hear a buzz and a click if something is trying to do its job. the trunk lid itself may be jammed.
if you can get the trunk lid open, you can at least get a closer look. but off course, the problem might not be at the trunk lid itself . . . . hmmmmmm

Yes, I'm able to open the trunk lid from the inside, there seems to be nothing wrong with the latch itself, only the power feature.
