I dont know why everyone on here dosent like the 03-04 Accord, and saying the back end looks ugly. I think it looks real good, especially the back end, it brings back the styling of the older accords that were so popular, why at the same time it looks real modern.

I'm also one of the few that doesn't mind the back end of the sedan, it is the front end bothers me. And the coupe turns me ill compared to the 98 thru 02 coupes. But each of us has our own styling opinions, and I think most of us agree that some styling re-dos are in order. I can't wait to see what they do, wish it was for 05 though.

Oh I have also heard that the 05 Accord gets illuminated steering wheel controls. Please bring those forward to the TSX too along with integrated key.

Good points, I should have mentioned those as well :) As I came from a Passat, which had fully illuminated swictgear (they almost went overboard - even the dash air vents were illuminated) it was a bit of a disappointment when I noticed that the steering wheel controls weren't illuminated on my TSX. It wasn't so bad when there were far fewer functions on them, but now with the ability to control more things it would be nice if they were lit up.

I would be happy to see them migrate to one of the "wave" keys on the TSX and TL - the regular-cut keys are sharper than ginsu knives. I opened the back door of my TSX with my key in my hand once, and somehow it got folded back between the door and my hand and it left 3 or 4 very deep scratches (to the sheetmetal) in the paint. I've actually cut my own hands a few times on the keys themselves - you have to be careful before you go plunging your hands into your pocket! I'm not crazy about the integrated keys that honda uses - they're just too big. if they had a switchblade design similar to audi/vw then they'd be fine. otherwise I prefer the key to be separate from the fob.

I really think if they put a grill on this car like the inspire it would help it out alot, same goes with the coupe. There is just something missing up there. Again like previous hondas I have owned the back end has grown on me, and I actually like it. I cannot say the same for the Altima

As Jeff noted that the changes to the MY05 Accord are rather significant and somewhat out of line to a mid year model "freshening up"...

I wonder if the changes are required to make room for the IMA battery pack?

The front end could use a somewhat more formal grill and the back end is a bit big, but it sort of grew on me. My too wife flipped flopped and prefers the Accord over the TSX nowadays, whereas in the in the beginning she didn't care for the Accord's back end.

Although I still prefer the TSX's back end.

But then, in the Hondacar spectrum, Accords are never too exciting to drive. The ones we've had were fine sedans, reasonably nimble ( I4, one with MT5) but never something that made you wish for the twisty road. Competent yes but soul stirring no.

I like the Accord sedan, except for the rear taillights and the ridiculous grille.

As for the coupe, here's what one of my friends had to say about it: "Dude, it looks like a freakin' dildo on wheels!"

I don't think it's that awful, but that coat-hanger grille in the front needs to go, and the wheels don't really suit the car.

I don't see what everyones problem is with the new '03-'04 Accord styling. I personally prefer the new look over the old clunky, squared, look of previous models. I bought the '03 Coupe, and my friends think it's a nice looking car. I personally like the tail lights of the Coupe. The Sedan taillights are too square looking. And they stretch across the trunk. That is old styling, IMO.

Honda please leave all taillights off the trunk, like you did with the '03 Coupe.

Although I think my '03 Coupe is nice, I have noticed several areas where Honda went "cheap" with manufacturing the car. Problems that Honda needs to fix with future Accord Coupes...
1. Interior "tapping" and rattles. More insulation or rubber cushion is needed where the plastic parts fit together, so there won't be any tapping noises.

2. Rubber gaskets on doors are held on by cheap plastic clips. Please use glue next time to glue these suckers on the door permanently.

3. All interior and exterior plastic mouldings are held on by PLASTIC CLIPS! This is what you call cheaply put together. Please use screws or glue next time to permanently hold pieces together. I don't know how many times I've reseated a plastic moulding on my car. I've also had to have the plastic shrouds on the doors replaced twice, because the clips that hold them in place keep breaking! (Use screws next time)

4. More insulation is needed in the cabin. Doors seem to be pretty much hollow. Please put spray insulation in the doors, to make car quieter.

5. Paint - Paint flakes very easy. Please either put another coat of paint or clearcoat on the cars. Or invent some paint protection coating that would protect the paint. Come on Honda, you can't invent something to protect the paint on cars?????
