Do the enging mounts have to be changed and if so where do I find them. And what all needs to be done when swaping an engine over, technical wise.

thanks , but I think that will bolt right in a 2nd gen CRX mine is a 1st gen CRX. Do you know of any engine that will bolt right into the 1st gen that has a sufficient amount of power?

now if I remember right, the mounts in a 1st gen crx are the same as the 84-87 civic. I've cramed an 87 D16a1 into an 86 civic DX. The mounts are exactly the same. the problem you run into is changing every thing from carb to injection. use crx timing cover mount and integra mounts for the rest. the axles will have to come from the integra too, as well as the spindle/knuckles. you may want to grab the intire front suspension. It may be a little stiffer. and while your at it, grab the rear disc brakes. IT would be easier and cheaper for you to buy a junker teg with all the parts you need. really that would be the only way to do such a swap.

correction on the engine mounts. on the mount on the timing cover side and the back side of the motor, use the crx, the tranny use the tegras mount. also the fuel pump and from the integra needs to be used, for the mechanical distributor mounted fuel pump on the ew motor will be gone. you will have to use the shift linkage from the integra too... if your still ambitious to do the swap then do it... it would be easier to swap a D16a1 into a(n) Si crx because you can use the wiring harness with minimal mods and the fuel pump for the injection and all that stuff is there. the bottom line is that a D16a1 will bolt in without expensive mounts but hooking it up to a carbed car is another story.
