One of the guys say (in refrence to the power train) "Think of the Pilot and MDX, but more power and more torque"
Sounds good.

damn! more impressive is the fact that this more Power and Torque will still be coming out of a V6!
I bet SUT will be a success just like the Accord, Civic, Oddyssey, Pilot, MDX, TL, TSX, RSX, Element.... wait thats pretty much every honda!!!!

Power and Torque means nothing for a truck if the chassis can't tow decent weight (3000lb+)

Well if you watched the video, you would've seen the designers pointing to certain things that you could haul with the SUT. None of them looked to be more than, or even close to, 3000 lbs. I have yet to hear any official word on whether this thing can tow a mobile home, and I don't expect to either.

But he did indicate that you could tow a S2000 +, which get you to about 3,000. As a Pilot has a capacity of 3,500 normal, 4,500 boat, it would stand to reason that towing capacity won't be a problem.

The 3.5L that Honda is providing to GM for the Saturn Vue helped up the Vue's towing from 1,000 to 3,000lbs. The current MDX engine makes more power than the Vue engine. 3,500-4,000 is a good estimate for towing (with boat weight a bit higher).

Just a guess, but based on what I've read on the HSC and the SUT, I think Honda may have a new engine in the works. May be a V8 or a 3.8L V6. Maybe a super charger.
What do you think?

Well maybe if you were using an open trailer you could tow and S2000 but towing a S2K with a decent enclosed trailer would be pushing it. I'd hope for at least 5000 lbs (6500 lbs for a boat).

The bottom line for me is, if it does not have a frame, it's not a truck. I want somethong I can take in the woods which will take a beating if need be.
I love hondas and have been driving them for 20 yrs but I think I will opt for the redesigned Tacoma which will be out next fall.
