I just received my February issue of Automobile magazine and it had an article about 2004 TL A-SPEC, here is what's said:
A-SPEC MOVES ACURA INTO THE FAST LANE
A-SPEC is Acura's new name (think Gran Turismo 3) for its factory performance hardware, although it still sells only complete kits that must be installed by an Acura dealer. Makoto Tamamura, who developed the NSX, tunes the chasis bits.
The Acura TL A-SPEC's $5200 kit (plus $500 installation) features springs, dumpers, eighteen-inch wheels, 235/40WR-18 Yokohama AVS ES100 tires, prepainted bodywork, brake pads, and a steering wheel. The TL A-SPEC has a supple ride yet gives enough control for the racetrack, and the tires improve grip and steering feel.
Just as with RSX A-SPEC kit ($4200), Acura's 262 dealers will get only 1000 kits for the TL, which makes you wonder if Honda really has a plan for cars like this.
