i just purchased a cd receiver tonight and i need helped trying to figure out how to remove the stock radio from my '96 honda accord ex.......do u know how to remove it? if so, can u please give me the directions on how to do so?

try HandA.com or collegehills honda sites. they have instructions for accessories. if you look for instructions on how to install the in dash single CD player in your car, it should should show you how to remove the radio.

i had a 95 EX (same model as yours). off the top of my head i think i had to remove the armrest first (should be a panel inside the storage bin on the bottom with screws underneath). i think there were screws on either side of the center console near the seats. with the armrest section out, you should see screws in front of the hand brake on the black trim piece that goes from the shift lever up to the clock. i think the rest of it is clips. don't pull it all the way out at first - reach behind the top and unplug the clock and hazzard button connectors. the screws that hold the radio in should be facing you on the sides. there might be another one in the back.

I THINK THIS IS THE GENERAL METHOD. double check. your local Honda parts dept might Xerox the parts break down of the dash for you too.

I've found that www.installdr.com is a great site with Downloadable pdf files. It has Install Docs for Hundreds of cars.
